Live Music on the Pier – Sunday, September 14th

Come and enjoy a fantastic afternoon of music at Sälstationen. Experience great tunes out on the pier, surrounded by good seal-company and a truly unique setting!
You’ll get the chance to listen to live performances while mingling with friends and other guests – a treat for all the senses!

Two bands will be playing on the pier:

  • Stu Ribbon – drums, electric bass, guitar, and vocals. This Stockholm-based band has been creating and performing their own music both individually and together for several years. You’ll find them on Spotify with tracks like My Friend, House, Supernova, Delfin, and Glow Sal.
  • Buffa – a quintet also based in Stockholm, featuring drums, bass, keyboard, saxophone, and guitar. Their repertoire includes original interpretations with influences from jazz, funk, bossa nova, blues, samba, and vocals in Neapolitan. Learn more at www.buffa.nu

Free entry.

Welcome from 12:00 – music starts at 13:00, and we’ll round off around 16:00.
On-site: wraps, snacks, non-alcoholic drinks, tea, coffee, and more available for purchase.

In case of bad weather, the event will be postponed to the following weekend, September 21st.

Final “Bake Bread” Course of the Season – October 3–4 with 15% discount

Sourdough Bread Baking Course (2 days) at Sälstationen

Flour, water, salt – and knowledge – are the key ingredients to bake healthy, juicy bread with a crispy crust.

During this two-day course, you’ll learn the fundamentals of sourdough baking. You’ll mix, fold, shape, and bake both loaves and rolls – all by hand using tools you likely already have at home. The goal is for you to confidently continue baking in your own kitchen.

We’ll bake different types of bread using organic flour from Saltå Kvarn: wheat, spelt, and rye. Between the practical steps, we’ll talk about flour types, the benefits of sourdough and long fermentation, and the baking process as a whole.

After a good night’s sleep in one of our cottages, we’ll slash and bake the bread together. Naturally, breakfast includes fresh bread straight from the oven.

Date:. 3-4 october.
